Statements From Our Research Collaborators

"The surface modification of the fabric is effective, the physical and chemical property changes provide evidence that the modified surface shall have anti-virus and anti-bacterial properties. We have built strong collaborative research relation with ShimyaTech Ltd aiming to explore novel biomolecules, coupling agents and processing technology for anti-biofilm, anti-fouling surfaces"

Professor Ying Yang, Biomaterial Group, Keele University, UK

"We have been collaborating with Shimyatech Ltd and as part of our joint work with providing services for testing virucidal properties of over 50 samples of their modified substrates for the past six months. We find the works by ShimyaTech very impressive and as a research led firm we find extensive potentials for innovative solutions and products from the firm. Both parties have been happy for the effective partnership, useful and timely communications and knowledge exchange opportunities. We are looking forward to future joint projects which are well in horizon."

Professor Francisco Parra, Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, University of Oviedo, Spain

"We tested virucidal properties of over 50 samples provided by Shimyatech Ltd on Human coronavirus HCoV229E as a subrogate system of SARS-COV2 virus between October20-March 21. Based on the results, Shimyatech selected the most effective nanocoating technology on fabrics. The final carbon and cotton fabrics coated with porous nanocomposite ceramics showed excellent antiviral properties with no cytotoxic effect on cell lines tested"

Professor Francisco Parra, Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, University of Oviedo, Spain
